Majority people use cotton buds in order to clean the ears from dirt and wax.
Although these buds are practical for use, they are doing more harm than good. In some cases, when people are using these cotton buds, are at risk to cause some serious problems, and some of the issues can be inflammation or obstruction.
Because of that some people use other cleaning methods, which can be even more dangerous. Dr. David Gill is an American pediatrician and he explains that we shouldn’t remove the wax from the ears by force. He adds that we should use more efficient methods instead.
Dr. David says: “You probably already have all the ingredients in our homes. If you have problems with earwax buildup, then it’s extremely important for you to soften it with some oil. then, you need to soak a piece of cotton in some oil and then gently place it in the ear, without pushing. Then, you need to start shaking your head so that the earwax starts moving towards the outer canal, just like when you try to remove the water from your ear after swimming. After 2 to 3 minutes, put a few drops of oil in your ear.”
In addition, Dr. David explains that in case this method doesn’t work for you, you should mix equal amounts of vinegar and medicinal alcohol and then wash your ears with this mixture.
